Original 1942 Oregon License Plate
Condition as shown, very nice original. DMV clear.
1942 was the last year issued during the course of WW2 in Oregon. Some states continued to issue metal plates and others used a fiberboard alternative. In Oregon, 1942 plates were allowed to remain on your vehicle and a window sticker was issued from 1943-46 to go in your front window to show your registration was current.
Registerable on a 1942 vehicle via Special Interest registration in the state of Oregon or a great addition to any collection. This year was the last year issued before World War 2 until 1946. The years' plates were not issued, the state issued window stickers instead, in an effort to conserve steel for the war effort. Only one plate is required to register, learn more about Oregon's Special Interest law.
